It's been a shaky start, but a start non-the-less! Since my last blog, the hubs and I sat down, with all the bills, worked out our budget and committed to "do this thing". I will confess, that during each "budget chat" since then, I've considered the need for a marriage counselor to work us through these chats.
I am currently holding all the credit/debit cards. Hubs is out of luck these days:0.
I haven't had too much trouble sticking to the budget so far..of course I haven't been anywhere, except Kroger and Wal-Mart, either. I know my weaknesses and staying home is the safest option.
My hubs, on the other hand, did not go down easily. He had just sold his laptop, with the intention of buying a new MAC, when we decided to "do this thing". Now with this new commitment to get out of debt, that money is going toward credit cards/medical bills instead of a new toy...sigh..it was hard for me too, because I was hoping I could slowly take over the new MAC when he got tired of it. He has also sold his xbox 360 and now he is starting to get into the swing of things. He wants a visual board and everything..he is always all IN or all OUT!
We are continuing to trudge along. At this rate, I will earn this badge in no time!
