A couple years ago my husband gave me a book called "You Can Do It. The Merit Badge Handbook For Grown-Up Girls". Basically, the book is about all these cool woman that do fun stuff..everything from travel, filmaking, firewalking, to basic stuff like organizing and sewing. It gives you a quick over-view of what they do and suggestions how you can learn to do it yourself. In the back of the book there are(sorry) cheesy merit badges you can award yourself if you learn how to do something in the book.
I love this book, but I've never really stepped out and tried to learn how to do many of the things I've read about. So, I thought maybe I would try to earn some of these merit badges and blog about how I'm doing! I am hoping that I will stick with something new if I have the accountability of a blog behind it..lol.
I researched how many days it takes to create a new habit,and it looks like anywhere from 21 days to 8 weeks, so that will be the length of time I'm going to commit to each "badge". 21 days for easier badges and longer for the more difficult tasks.
